Senior Data Scientist II – AI‑Enabled Products

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist II to help build AI‑enabled products that turn complex data into actionable insights for government customers. You will work at the intersection of software engineering, analytics, machine learning and generative AI, delivering innovative, customer‑facing solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Independently scope, execute and lead small‑scale projects while contributing to larger initiatives.
• Design, develop and maintain analytical applications, services and reusable components for AI‑enabled products.
• Support the full analytical lifecycle: design, implementation, validation, deployment and ongoing enhancement.
• Build robust data pipelines and analytical workflows that transform large, complex datasets into product capabilities.
• Extract, clean and structure large datasets for analysis, experimentation and delivery.
• Develop and operationalize statistical models, machine‑learning solutions and intelligent decision‑support tools.
• Contribute to AI‑powered features through prompt engineering, retrieval strategies and workflow integration.
• Write high‑quality, maintainable code following best practices, including testing, documentation, code reviews and performance optimisation.

Required profile

• Must be a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder.
• Strong software development background combined with practical experience applying machine learning, statistical methods and generative AI to real‑world problems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional team of data scientists, engineers, product managers and domain experts.
• Self‑starter who can independently manage projects and contribute to larger, complex initiatives.
