Senior Credit Reporter – Intelligence Origination

About the role

Gain is expanding its Intelligence Origination team into credit, focusing on real‑time, transaction‑level credit intelligence for private‑equity deals. As a Senior Credit Reporter you will source proprietary, non‑public data from a trusted network of lenders, bankers, sponsors and advisors, turning raw insights into structured, machine‑readable information that powers our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain a high‑trust network of credit sources, including lenders, investment bankers, private‑equity sponsors, advisors and lawyers.
• Conduct daily off‑record conversations to capture non‑public credit intelligence.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness and speed of data capture for the Gain platform.
• Collaborate with in‑house analysts and research teams to standardise and structure incoming data.
• Support the expansion of Gain’s real‑time transaction tracker and internal market‑intelligence sharing.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in private credit, leveraged finance, restructuring, M&A, private‑equity or a closely related field.
• Proven ability to develop and nurture high‑trust relationships with market participants.
• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data quality and consistency.
• Excellent communication skills for background‑only, off‑record sourcing.
