Senior Construction Specialties Risk Engineering Consultant

About the role

Zurich is seeking a Senior Construction Specialties Risk Engineering Consultant to support its Builders Risk Line of Business across Arizona and California. This is a virtual, work‑from‑home position with periodic office visits and a company car for 25‑30% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct remote and onsite risk assessments of construction projects, including data centers and energy facilities.
• Provide technical support to underwriters, claims, and customers, preparing internal and external risk reports.
• Manage business partner relationships and act as a liaison for Zurich’s Builder’s Risk insurance product.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of experience in construction, engineering, or risk consulting, or equivalent experience with a high‑school diploma.
• Team‑player with strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Willingness to undergo a motor‑vehicle record background check.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with building information modeling (BIM) and virtual consulting tools.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E standards and construction risk mitigation.
