Senior Community Manager

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Community Manager to lead digital engagement for the dbt community. In this role you will shape how data practitioners worldwide connect, learn, and collaborate through our Slack community, partnering with internal teams and community leaders to enhance member experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own day‑to‑day operations of the dbt Slack community, ensuring a welcoming, high‑signal experience for members worldwide.
• Partner with community leaders and internal stakeholders to evolve channel strategy, community guidelines, and engagement programming.
• Develop and maintain scalable moderation and support workflows, including triage, escalation paths, and response playbooks, and enforce the Code of Conduct.
• Coach, support, and recruit moderators and community champions as the community grows.
• Create content systems that keep members informed and activated through announcements, highlights, prompts, and storytelling.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing online communities, preferably in the data or technology space.
• Strong ability to foster inclusive, high‑quality discussions and drive member participation.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.
