Senior Cloud Operation Developer

About the role

As a Senior Cloud Operation Developer in AVEVA’s Research & Development global Cloud DevOps team, you will help design, deploy and continuously monitor cloud‑enabled industrial software solutions. You will work in a hybrid setting from Lake Forest, CA, collaborating with development and portfolio teams to ensure secure, stable and scalable cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide timely incident response to minimise customer impact and keep stakeholders informed.
• Advise development teams on operational stability, security, cost management and reporting improvements.
• Develop and optimise CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes through automation and effective reporting.
• Oversee cloud deployments, track progress, resolve or escalate release issues.
• Proactively manage cloud environments, including infrastructure as code, certificates, storage, health and backup status.
• Validate new services against operational readiness standards before production hand‑over.
• Maintain ongoing compliance with security practices and policies.
• Provide subject‑matter expertise for cloud infrastructure incidents and scalability initiatives.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in cloud operations and DevOps within an industrial or software‑as‑a‑service environment.
• Ability to work in a 24 × 7 global team, including occasional out‑of‑hours and on‑call duties.
• Strong collaboration skills with development and product teams.
• Commitment to delivering secure, reliable and cost‑effective cloud solutions.
