Senior Business Systems Analyst – Finance Assets & Lease Management

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to lead the design, configuration, and ongoing management of Workday Business Assets and Lease Management. You will shape the finance organization’s processes as the company scales toward public‑company readiness, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and lease accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the internal functional lead for Workday Business Assets, configuring asset books, classes, useful lives, depreciation profiles, capitalization rules, and construction‑in‑progress tracking.
• Own end‑to‑end lease administration and ASC 842 accounting across Workday and dedicated lease platforms for real‑estate and compute infrastructure leases.
• Partner with Compute, Data Infrastructure, Procurement, and Accounting teams to manage high‑value technology assets from procurement through retirement, designing tagging and tracking approaches that meet global compliance.
• Support the broader Workday Financials platform, ensuring FDM alignment (worktags, posting rules, dimensional hierarchies) for asset and lease transactions.
• Collaborate with implementation partners and consultants on future phases and net‑new implementations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a functional lead for Workday Business Assets and Lease Management.
• Deep knowledge of ASC 842 lease accounting and related disclosure requirements.
• Strong background in managing the lifecycle of technology infrastructure assets.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with finance, engineering, and procurement stakeholders.
• Experience supporting ERP financial modules and preparing organizations for public‑company reporting.
