Senior Bridge Engineer

About the role

Parsons is hiring a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Akron, Ohio team and support our rapidly expanding portfolio of major area projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on conventional and moderately complex bridge engineering tasks within a collaborative, innovative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform conventional and moderately complex bridge engineering tasks efficiently and accurately.
• Be assigned to a project or organizational team, or serve as lead engineer for a specific discipline on small to intermediate‑size projects.
• Provide input and technical guidance to CAD designers, drafters, and lower‑level engineers.
• Commit to quality and continuous improvement through innovation and creative thinking.
• Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with employees, clients, and other stakeholders.

Required profile

• 8+ years of bridge engineering design experience.
• BS in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis (required); MS in Structural Engineering (desirable).
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure highly preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and Microstation or AutoCAD.
• Comprehensive knowledge of industry‑standard bridge design and analysis software.
