Senior Auditor

About the role

The Senior Auditor leads and executes complex financial, operational and compliance audits, covering the full audit lifecycle from planning and fieldwork to reporting. The role supervises and mentors junior auditors, reviews their work and acts as a main point of contact for business stakeholders during an audit.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex audit engagements on time and within budget
• Design and implement risk-based audit plans and testing strategies
• Assess financial and operational processes, systems and controls independently and objectively
• Identify risks and control gaps and recommend remediation
• Draft and present audit reports to management and track the implementation of recommendations
• Take part in other audit projects requested by management or the ERM/Audit committee
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and process improvements
• Train, guide and review the work of entry-level and mid-level auditors

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field
• 5-7 years of experience in internal auditing, public accounting or a related field
• CIA, CPA or CISA certification preferred or in progress
• Modest travel, up to 25%
