Senior Architect

About the role

Amped Fitness is seeking an In‑House Licensed Architect to lead the design of new gym locations across the United States. The role will manage the full concept‑to‑execution process, ensuring facilities are functional, code‑compliant, and visually compelling.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural vision, layout planning, and design standards for all Amped Fitness locations.
• Develop and manage drawing sets, including floor plans, equipment layouts, interior elevations, and finish plans.
• Produce or oversee 3D visualizations and concept mockups for internal presentations and marketing use.
• Coordinate with engineers, general contractors, and vendors to ensure design feasibility and construction accuracy.
• Conduct site evaluations, field verifications, and progress oversight during build‑outs.
• Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, ADA standards, and company design guidelines.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to translate architectural concepts into branded visuals and promotional materials.
• Maintain an organized library of equipment standards, templates, and layout best practices.

Required profile

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch required).
• Active Architectural License in Florida (ability to obtain licenses in TX, AZ, GA, NV, OH, IN, IL, NJ).
• 4+ years experience in commercial architecture or interior planning, preferably in fitness, big‑box retail, hospitality, or high‑traffic environments.
• Proven ability to work efficiently with municipalities and navigate permitting processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in SketchUp or comparable rendering software.
