Senior Architect / Designer (New York)

About the role

OMA New York is seeking a Senior Architect/Designer to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves shaping projects from initial concept through design development, documentation and construction, requiring strong design sensibility and technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design development across all project phases, from concept to construction.
• Collaborate with consultants, local architects and internal partners to produce comprehensive design packages.
• Establish and refine project design direction and coordinate technical documentation.
• Oversee project realization and, when needed, manage specific project teams.

Required profile

• 8+ years of architectural experience covering design and execution.
• Professional or graduate degree in Architecture.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino and Adobe Suite.
• Strong knowledge of US building codes and standards.
• Portfolio of realized or published projects across varied program types.
• Excellent communication and ability to work in a dynamic, international environment.
