Senior Analyst, Pricing Analytics

About the role

The Home Depot is hiring a Senior Analyst, Pricing to support the development and execution of pricing strategies. The role provides subject matter expertise, project management and analytical support, working with cross-functional partners such as marketing, operations and strategy, and supporting merchants directly so they can understand their business, test pricing strategies and reach their objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and measure pricing actions to understand the trade-off between units, sales and gross margin, and use the learnings to help merchants reach financial objectives (50%)
• Conduct research to become a subject matter expert on a specific segment of pricing and statistical analysis (20%)
• Work across the organization with cross-functional teams to provide expert analytical support, for example on domestic logistics or global supply chain costs (10%)
• Develop and deliver presentations that summarize complex analyses and drive business decisions (20%)

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a field related to the job
• Preferred: 5+ years of business experience
• Reports to a Manager; no direct reports
• Typically requires less than 10% overnight travel; mostly sits in a comfortable indoor setting

Required skills

• SQL and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Data visualization and presentation in Tableau and PowerPoint
• Excel, Access and other statistical software or pricing packages (e.g., SAS, Minitab, DemandTec)
• Ability to translate business requirements into analytical frameworks and to build scalable data architectures and efficient data pipelines
