Senior AI Engineer – Remote US

About the role

Infosys is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to join its Engineering unit, driving innovative AI‑focused solutions for clients across the United States. The role can be performed from any US location or remotely, offering flexibility while contributing to high‑impact product‑centric projects.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document business requirements, supporting the elicitation process.
• Lead design discussions, capture architectural decisions and guide development teams.
• Develop, test, and integrate new AI features into existing platforms, ensuring system stability.
• Perform code reviews, manage code repositories and maintain high‑quality code standards.
• Define and execute test strategies, analyse outcomes and coordinate bug‑fixes.
• Create user training materials, documentation and support structures for smooth roll‑outs.
• Respond to production incidents, propose preventive measures and improve reliability.
• Maintain comprehensive records of code changes, testing procedures and support activities.

Required profile

• Strong collaborative mindset with excellent communication abilities.
• Proven experience handling end‑to‑end SDLC phases from requirements to deployment.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into actionable development tasks.
• Passion for software design coupled with hands‑on coding expertise.
• Proactive attitude toward testing, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Comfort working with cross‑functional, geographically dispersed teams.
