Senior Accountant (Remote, US Timezone)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join Veta Virtual’s remote team supporting a portfolio of U.S.-based startup clients. The role is fully remote and limited to candidates in North American time zones. You will own end‑to‑end accounting processes, ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, and provide actionable financial insights.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full accounting cycle for U.S. clients, including reconciliations, month‑end close, and financial reporting.
• Apply startup accounting principles to balance best practices with limited resources.
• Make timely financial judgments in fast‑moving, less‑structured environments while maintaining accuracy.
• Integrate and optimize external applications with QuickBooks Online to streamline workflows.
• Oversee accounts payable/receivable, expense management, and vendor/client interactions.
• Collaborate daily using tools such as Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, and other SaaS platforms.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of accounting experience with U.S. companies; CPA preferred.
• Experience in a public‑accounting or client‑facing role managing external stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of startup accounting practices and ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Fluent professional English, both written and verbal.
