Senior Accountant

About the role

Join a global finance organization supporting the Finance One optimization program within a shared services environment. You will perform advanced accounting activities, support month‑end close processes, and collaborate with local and regional finance teams to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting across multiple countries.

Key responsibilities

• Execute complex accounting tasks including month‑end close, journal entries, account reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations to maintain timely and accurate records.
• Serve as subject‑matter expert for intercompany accounting processes and related transactions.
• Analyze financial statements, investigate variances, discrepancies and reporting issues.
• Coordinate close activities and meet critical accounting deadlines and reporting requirements.
• Perform internal control activities, ensuring compliance with audit and financial reporting standards.
• Partner with local accounting teams to resolve inquiries and reconciliation issues within established timelines.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, deliver training, and identify opportunities for efficiency and standardisation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience covering journal entries, reconciliations, financial reporting and analysis.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Experience in a shared services centre or multinational organisation is preferred.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SOX compliance and Portuguese language proficiency are advantageous.
