Senior Account Manager – Service Sales & Customer Development

About the role

This role is responsible for service sales, developing new customers, and expanding business with existing customers within a regional sales territory. The Senior Account Manager will work independently to identify opportunities, manage contracts, and act as the primary liaison between customers and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop potential customers from initial contact through ongoing service and maintenance contracts.
• Create sales prospect lists by researching business activity and industry groups.
• Assist the Field Services group with maintenance, enhancement, and customer activities.
• Manage a broad base of high‑tech customer accounts to ensure satisfaction and retention.
• Prepare estimates, budgets, and proposal scopes to support order fulfillment.
• Identify technical requirements and coordinate with technical staff to address them.
• Generate leads for engineered systems and hand them to the Contracts and Projects Department.
• Support promotional events, trade shows, and customer training sessions.

Required profile

• 2‑year technical diploma.
• Minimum 10+ years of experience in sales or marketing with proven performance.
• Strong process, customer development, and relationship management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently or within a team and travel throughout the United States as needed.
