About the role
The State of Georgia is seeking two Security Officers to join the Capitol Police Division in Atlanta. You will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the Capitol Hill area, monitoring premises, and responding to alarms and disturbances.
Key responsibilities
- Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Inspect assigned areas for potential hazards.
- Monitor and authorize entry/exit of employees, visitors, and other persons.
- Patrol premises to prevent intrusion and ensure the security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Write daily activity and incident reports.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED (some positions may require Georgia POST certification).
- Previous experience in a safety monitoring environment or a related field is preferred.
