Seasonal Surgical Technologist – $45/hr (certified)

About the role

Kingman Healthcare Inc. is seeking a Seasonal Surgical Technologist to support the Surgery Department on a full‑time, seasonal basis. The position offers an hourly rate of $45 for certified technologists (or $43 for non‑certified) and a monthly living‑expense stipend based on distance. The technologist works under the direction of physicians, coordinators and first assistants, preparing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and adhering to KHI behavioral standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and pass all instrumentation and supplies required for each surgical case.
• Monitor the sterile field throughout procedures to ensure sterility.
• Communicate with surgeons and team members to set up cases according to physician preference cards.
• Act as a patient advocate, maintaining confidentiality and providing supportive care.
• Identify emergency situations and apply aseptic principles to protect patient safety.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Ability to lift 50–75 lb (combined lift of 150 lb) and stand for extended periods.
• Exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues as part of routine duties.

Required skills

• Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and proper handling.
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and sterilization methods.
• Ability to read and follow physician preference cards.
• Understanding of anesthetic agents and their impact on patient care.
• Dexterity with surgical instruments and step‑by‑step procedural knowledge.
