Seasonal Operating Room Registered Nurse

About the role

Join Vail Health’s dynamic surgical team in the Colorado mountains as a Seasonal Operating Room Registered Nurse. You will work in the Main OR alongside top orthopedic surgeons, using advanced technology such as the da Vinci robotic surgical system to deliver exceptional patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily patient flow within the OR suite to optimize care, safety and satisfaction.
• Deliver patient education and facilitate the plan of care.
• Delegate care appropriately according to Colorado statutes.
• Perform clinical assessments, administer medications, assist in procedures and ensure patient safety.
• Review patient paperwork, verify procedures, assist with positioning and transport, and complete charting including pathology and implant logs.

Required profile

• Minimum one year operating room experience.
• Registered Nurse license in Colorado or a compact state.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Associate Nursing Degree (minimum).

Required skills

• Proficiency with the da Vinci robotic surgical system.
• Computer skills for online learning, forms, and benefits enrollment.
