Seasonal Line Cook - Stadium Concessions

About the role

Legends, part of ASM Global, is hiring a Line Cook for its concessions kitchen at George Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida. The position is seasonal and part-time, reporting to the Executive Chef within the Culinary department. It is a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment.

Key responsibilities

• Follow the Executive Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisors on opening and closing procedures and food preparation.
• Prepare and cook menu items to the required portion sizes, quality standards and departmental rules.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and handle and store food according to health and safety regulations.
• Keep the kitchen and workstations clean and organized.
• Support timely service with the culinary team and follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with inventory and restocking, and perform other duties assigned by management.

Required profile

• At least 18 years old and able to read, speak and write in English.
• High school diploma or equivalent (culinary training preferred).
• Minimum of three years in a fast-paced high-end club or restaurant.
• Professional culinary training and strong line experience for ala carte service preferred.
• Ability to work late hours, weekends and holidays as needed, and to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Required skills

• Previous experience with a commercial dish machine preferred.
• Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
• Knowledge of service standards, guest relations and kitchen etiquette.
• Ability to multitask in a loud, fast-paced environment and to work calmly under pressure.
