Seasonal Dishwasher - George Steinbrenner Field

About the role

Legends | ASM Global, which combines expertise in sports, entertainment and live events with venue management, is hiring a Dishwasher for its Concessions-Culinary department at George Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Florida. The position reports to the Executive Chef and is seasonal and part-time.

Key responsibilities

• Scrape, wash, sanitize and properly store china, flatware, glassware, utensils and kitchen equipment according to Legends | ASM Global standards and Health Department regulations.
• Collect dirty small wares from scullery collection points and return them to the dish area; organize clean small wares and return them to storage.
• Maintain the kitchen and small wares storage areas in an organized way.
• Clean and organize food prep areas daily.
• Keep floors clean and dry by sweeping and mopping, and watch for slip hazards.
• Help Front of House during busy events, set up breakdown stations, and organize plates, lids, hot boxes and tables for plate-up and plating.
• Transport loaded hot boxes to pass-out stations and provide busing and cleanup support for Food & Beverage services.
• Dispose of trash, including hosing out garbage cans.
• Meet uniform and appearance standards and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating a commercial dish machine is preferred.
• Basic food preparation experience is preferred.
• Ability to take direction and work well in a team, and to stay calm in a high-pressure environment.
• Long periods of standing, walking and navigating stairs or elevators, in a loud environment.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and move heavy wheeled carts (over 200 pounds).
• Able to work late hours, weekends and holidays as needed.
