Seasonal Customer Experience Guide – Retail

About the role

As a Seasonal Customer Experience Guide you will be the face of Patagonia in our Santa Monica store, delivering exceptional service during peak periods. You will support the core team by handling sales, assisting customers, and maintaining the store’s visual and operational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide best‑in‑class customer service and drive sales on the retail floor.
• Answer phones, support front‑of‑house and back‑of‑house operations, and assist with in‑store repairs.
• Process shipments, conduct physical inventory, restock merchandise, and prepare sales floor for promotions.
• Maintain visual standards by folding, hanging, steaming, dressing mannequins and arranging displays.
• Apply security and loss‑prevention measures and respond to safety situations.
• Engage customers on Patagonia’s environmental mission and promote community involvement.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic about outdoor activities and environmental stewardship.
• Ability to work 3‑4 months on a seasonal basis, up to 19 hours per week.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused mindset.
• Willingness to learn product knowledge and store procedures.
