Seasonal Bartender - PNC Field

About the role

A seasonal, part-time bartender is needed at PNC Field, home of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, within the Concessions department and reporting to the Concessions Manager. The role serves fans during RailRiders events in a high-volume, professional sports venue, emphasizing fast, friendly and accurate beverage service, responsible alcohol service and a clean, organized bar.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly, energetic and professional manner.
• Prepare all beverage items for sale in the station, and prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks to standard recipes and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
• Process high-volume transactions quickly and accurately using POS systems.
• Maintain safe, secure and sanitary working conditions and keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Coordinate with Concessions Supervisors and Runners on inventory levels so bar service stays uninterrupted.
• Account for all bar stock on bar sheets, including opening and closing inventory and recording waste and spoilage.

Required profile

• Previous customer service or guest services experience preferred; experience in live entertainment, sports or hospitality is an asset.
• Knowledge of alcohol service and drink mixing is preferred.
• RAMP (Responsible Alcohol Management Program) certification required.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and special events.

Required skills

• Fast, friendly and efficient service in a high-pressure, high-volume setting.
• Basic knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and standard drink preparation.
• Ability to operate POS systems and electronic payments accurately.
• Attention to detail, multitasking and ability to anticipate guest needs.
• Ability to check identification and work independently with good judgment.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs and work outdoors in heat and sun.
