Science Instructor (Biology/Physical Sciences)

About the role

The College seeks a full‑time Science Instructor to teach a range of biological and physical science courses. Instruction will be delivered both in traditional classrooms and through online platforms, supporting a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a full complement of science courses as outlined in the ACTS and course catalog.
• Deliver instruction face‑to‑face and via online formats, including virtual labs.
• Utilize Blackboard and other learning management systems for course delivery.
• Participate in recruiting, retention, and student success initiatives.
• Contribute to campus and college committees, projects, and activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in biological science, physical science, or a closely related field (preferred).
• Three or more years of teaching experience, preferably in higher education.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate technology into instruction.
• Team‑oriented mindset and strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Blackboard learning management system.
• Online course delivery and virtual lab facilitation.
• Experience with video‑conferencing tools such as Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
• Familiarity with Workday for administrative tasks.
