SCADA Systems Analyst – Hybrid (Los Angeles)

About the role

A public sector organization in Los Angeles is seeking a SCADA Systems Analyst to design, implement, and maintain critical supervisory control and data acquisition systems that support essential utility operations. The role combines hands‑on technical work with collaboration across internal teams, vendors, and consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain SCADA, DCS, HMI, and related control‑system applications.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and administration for industrial automation hardware and software.
• Develop, optimize, and maintain reports, queries, dashboards, and operational data solutions.
• Program, test, and support PLCs, control modules, instrumentation, and network‑connected equipment.
• Assist in designing and maintaining networks that serve industrial control environments.
• Manage system upgrades, migrations, and integration projects from planning through implementation.
• Create and keep technical documentation, schematics, system configurations, and procedures.
• Collaborate with vendors, consultants, and internal teams for new installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
• Support contract administration, procurement, technology evaluations, and budget planning for control systems.
• Deliver end‑user training and ongoing technical guidance to operations and maintenance staff.

Required profile

• Experience with SCADA, DCS, HMI, and industrial automation environments.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for PLCs, instrumentation, and networked control equipment.
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation and schematics.
• Willingness to participate in a rotating on‑call schedule (approximately twice per month).
• Physical ability to perform occasional bending, kneeling, and work in confined spaces.
