SAP Release Management Architect – Hybrid

About the role

We are seeking a senior technology architect to lead SAP release management for large‑scale industrial manufacturing. Working in a hybrid model, you will design and optimise release strategies that ensure reliable day‑shift operations and robust governance across complex SAP landscapes.

Key responsibilities

• Design end‑to‑end SAP release architectures that align production planning and control with business objectives.
• Define and maintain release management frameworks coordinating application changes, configuration updates and integration enhancements.
• Oversee technical standards for release strategies to minimise risk, optimise performance and support predictable operations.
• Collaborate with production planning, SAP functional, and infrastructure teams to reflect real‑world manufacturing constraints.
• Provide impact assessments for releases, evaluating effects on schedules, material availability and downstream reporting.
• Develop environment strategies (dev, test, prod) ensuring rigorous validation before promotion.
• Guide automation and tooling implementation for transport management, version control and quality checks.
• Monitor release cycle metrics, streamline deployment frequency and improve system stability.
• Document architectures, release calendars, risk registers and fallback procedures.
• Support incident analysis related to releases and mentor teams on disciplined release practices.

Required profile

• 10‑14 years of experience in SAP release management or related enterprise architecture.
• Proven ability to align complex technology landscapes with manufacturing business goals.
• Strong analytical skills with experience in impact assessment and risk mitigation.
• Excellent collaboration skills across cross‑functional technical and business teams.
