Sales Representative – Chains (San Luis Obispo)

About the role

We are a leading specialist in the beer, wine and spirits industry seeking a motivated Sales Representative to grow and manage chain accounts in San Luis Obispo County. The role involves building strong relationships with customers, promoting supplier brands, and achieving sales targets in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Visit and service chain accounts on a daily route, creating an efficient routing pattern.
• Conduct account surveys, ensure national account compliance, and present professional sales pitches for new products, placements, and promotions.
• Maintain product inventory levels, restock shelves where permitted, and provide staff training on priority brands.
• Manage receivables, process credits and returns, and handle customer issues, escalating when necessary.
• Develop and execute sales and merchandising plans to meet distribution, volume, and activity goals set by management.
• Monitor inventory, alert management to stock fluctuations, and support new account openings with opening orders.

Required profile

• Current associate with access to the internal Career Portal.
• Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for customer visits.
• Strong passion for customer service and ability to thrive in a high‑energy sales environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
