Sales Consultant – Orthopaedics MedTech

About the role

The Sales Consultant will develop and nurture relationships with surgeons and hospital accounts within the Salt Lake City territory, driving adoption of Johnson & Johnson MedTech orthopaedic solutions. This front‑line position focuses on converting prospect surgeons, expanding existing accounts, and delivering product value that improves patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify prospective surgeons and accounts; create and execute tailored sales plans.
• Drive product sales for assigned orthopaedic devices, demonstrating proper utilization in the operating room.
• Build strong relationships with surgeons, operating‑room staff, and hospital decision‑makers.
• Provide case coverage and support during surgical procedures, including in‑service education.
• Maintain sales equipment and promotional materials; manage competitive threats and promote new products.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent professional background.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel, including weekends and overnight trips.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem‑solving skills; ability to work independently.
• Residence in or willingness to relocate to the Salt Lake City territory.

Required skills

• Product knowledge of orthopaedic surgical instruments and devices.
• Functional understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and basic surgical procedures.
• Data analysis capability for sales planning and performance tracking.
