Sales Arborist (ISA Certified)

About the role

Kramer Tree Specialists is seeking an experienced ISA Certified Sales Arborist to act as a trusted advisor for residential, commercial, municipal, and business clients. You will combine technical arboriculture expertise with sales acumen to protect and enhance urban landscapes while building your own book of business.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain long‑term relationships with residential, commercial, and municipal clients.
• Conduct on‑site inspections, evaluate tree health and safety, and diagnose pests, diseases, and structural issues.
• Develop professional arboricultural recommendations following ANSI standards and prepare accurate proposals and cost estimates.
• Present recommendations, educate clients on proper tree care, and partner with production crews to ensure successful project execution.
• Attend networking events and business‑development functions to generate new opportunities and consistently achieve sales goals.

Required profile

• ISA Certified Arborist (or ability to obtain certification within 90 days).
• Minimum 2 years of arboriculture experience.
• Proven sales experience or strong customer‑relationship management skills.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license with a safe driving record.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in an environmental or related field (preferred).

Required skills

• Tree identification and plant health care.
• Pruning, removals, pest management, and diagnostics.
• Preparation of estimates and detailed client proposals.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.

• Commission‑only compensation with estimated annual earnings of $55,000–$125,000 (uncapped).
