Safeguards Enforcement Lead – Cyber Harms

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a Safeguards Enforcement Lead to manage and execute enforcement actions that protect its AI systems from malicious cyber use. You will develop strategic frameworks to detect and mitigate AI‑enabled cyberattacks, malware creation, and offensive tooling while leading a team of analysts and contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of Cyber Enforcement Analysts and contractors, defining the vision for cyber enforcement strategy.
• Create and implement detection and mitigation strategies for AI‑facilitated cyber threats such as malware, exploit development, and offensive tooling.
• Collaborate with stakeholders on novel, ambiguous, or high‑severity cases and work with the Safeguards Policy Design Team to address policy gaps.
• Partner with Engineering and Data Science to build tooling and measurement support for enforcement operations.
• Stay current on AI policy enforcement best practices, threat actor tactics, and the evolving cyber threat landscape.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a people manager.
• Background in cybersecurity, including offensive techniques, exploit development, malware analysis, or vulnerability research.
• Experience conducting content review, abuse investigations, or high‑volume policy enforcement.
• Ability to identify emerging risks and communicate findings to product, policy, engineering, and legal teams.
• Experience working with generative AI products and crafting effective prompts for content review.
