RN PRN - Cardiology Clinic

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse (RN) to join its Cardiology Clinic on a day‑shift, fixed‑term basis. This position supports the delivery of high‑quality cardiac care to patients in an outpatient setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to cardiology patients, including assessments, medication administration, and monitoring of vital signs.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, and allied health staff to coordinate patient care plans.
• Document all patient interactions accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Ensure compliance with clinical policies, safety standards, and infection‑control procedures.
• Educate patients and families about cardiac health, treatment plans, and follow‑up care.

Required profile

• Active Registered Nurse license in the United States.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work day‑shift hours in an onsite clinic environment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
