RN – Pre‑Op/PACU – Regional Urology (PRN)

About the role

The Registered Nurse will provide pre‑operative and post‑anesthesia care for patients undergoing urologic procedures in a regional PACU setting. The role follows the Nursing Process, adheres to the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards, and supports the department’s strategic goals.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the Nursing Process to deliver safe, high‑quality patient care.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources effectively.
• Analyze data and apply evidence‑based knowledge to improve patient outcomes.
• Promote patient satisfaction and staff morale while performing other related duties as required.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse diploma (required); Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• No prior experience required.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with Windows‑style applications and data‑entry systems for patient information.
• Computer skills for retrieving and documenting clinical data.
