RN Clinical Educator – Surgery

About the role

The RN Clinical Educator – Surgery partners with nursing and management to design, deliver, and evaluate educational programs that improve patient care and staff competencies. This full‑time, onsite position supports both clinical and non‑clinical staff across the Baptist surgical services.

Key responsibilities

• Assess educational needs, develop curricula, and evaluate program effectiveness for surgical staff.
• Facilitate training sessions, presentations, and workshops, acting as a performance consultant.
• Coordinate training facilities, resources, and documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in professional associations and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree (MSN) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, with ability to work under frequent interruptions and stressful situations.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows‑based applications and data‑entry tools.
• Computer literacy for retrieving and managing job‑related information.
