RN Clinic Supervisor – General Medicine

About the role

The RN Clinic Supervisor provides direct patient care in a general‑medicine clinic while leading the nursing team. The role follows the Nurse Practice Act, ANA standards, and coordinates the plan of care with a multidisciplinary team. It also ensures safe, effective delivery of services and supports staff development.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and direct licensed and ancillary team members in daily patient care activities.
• Maintain effective communication, training, and performance development of nursing staff.
• Coordinate clinical operations and ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.
• Adapt care delivery to meet the specific needs and privacy expectations of the patient population.
• Stay current with clinical knowledge, technical skills, and required credentials, and ensure staff maintain them.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Current RN license in the state of practice and CPR certification; ACLS, PALS, or specialty certification preferred.
• Strong organizational judgment, interpersonal abilities, and leadership capabilities.
