RN - Cardiac Non-Invasive Laboratory - Stress Lab

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Cardiac Non‑Invasive Laboratory’s Stress Lab at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. The RN will provide direct patient care during cardiac stress testing, ensuring safety and accurate data collection in a fast‑paced, day‑shift environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients for cardiac stress tests, including medication review and equipment setup.
• Monitor patients throughout exercise or pharmacologic stress procedures, responding to any adverse events.
• Document test results, vital signs, and clinical observations in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with cardiologists, technologists, and support staff to maintain high‑quality lab operations.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Arkansas.
• Experience in cardiac or acute care nursing preferred.
• Ability to work day‑shift hours and respond quickly in emergency situations.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in cardiac stress testing procedures.
• Knowledge of ECG monitoring and interpretation.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
