About the role

The Registered Nurse will support cancer patient care by managing medical authorization processes within the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. This day‑shift, on‑site position ensures timely review and coordination of treatment approvals, contributing to high‑quality oncology services.

Key responsibilities

• Review and process cancer treatment authorization requests in accordance with institutional policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and insurance representatives to obtain necessary approvals.
• Maintain accurate documentation of authorization decisions within the health‑record system.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and university regulations related to cancer care.
• Communicate authorization status and any required follow‑up actions to the care team.

Required profile

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current employee of the University of Arkansas System (including student or graduate assistants).
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Availability to work day‑shift hours.
