Risk Analyst – Kansas City

About the role

When you join the Federal Reserve—the nation's central bank—you’ll play a key role, collaborating with leading tech professionals to strengthen and protect our economic, financial and payments systems. The Risk Analyst will have responsibility for supporting the processes and operations of the Enterprise Risk Management team.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a consultant to management by completing projects and preparing recommendations for improving current practices or implementing new programs and processes within the Risk function.
• Lead ad hoc qualitative analysis, supporting research, recommendations, and implementation of new products and services, and developing/updating policies and procedures.
• Analyze and evaluate risks affecting the organization’s operations, performance, and strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify emerging risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Track risk indicators consistently and communicate findings to leadership and stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive risk reports and deliver presentations tailored for internal and system stakeholders.
• Lead risk awareness training sessions and facilitate workshops to promote a strong culture of risk understanding.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of relevant experience, preferably in risk, compliance or audit.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong organizational skills and relationship‑building abilities.
