Retail Planning Analyst – Intimate Apparel

About the role

Join the Strategic Planning team at a leading luxury lingerie design company. The Retail Planning Analyst will provide critical reports and insights to support sales, merchandising, design, finance, production and forecasting, helping drive business strategy and execution.

Key responsibilities

• Track retail sales and stock, maintain the POS style selling database, publish weekly selling reports and conduct seasonal market‑share analysis.
• Create management reports, facilitate best‑seller meetings and produce monthly reports on new product launches.
• Maintain detailed logs of allowances, projected markdown liabilities and month‑end accruals; report on allowances, givebacks and gratis.
• Manage budget and shipping forecast processes, including gross shipment, dilution budgets, channel ratios and monthly flow.
• Review and analyze financial reports by brand, develop “what‑if” scenarios and present recommendations to management.
• Communicate across departments, provide ad‑hoc reporting support to management and sales, and partner with forecasting to validate retail sales data.

Required profile

• 5 years of experience as a planner, analyst or buyer in the department‑store industry.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Highly analytical, data‑driven and detail‑oriented with strong math skills.
• Hands‑on experience with inventory management and planning.
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, V‑lookup, macros).
• Microsoft Office suite.
