Retail Operations Assistant Manager – Charlotte

About the role

Join our brand‑new Charlotte Nespresso boutique as a Retail Operations Assistant Manager. You will work closely with the Boutique Manager and Assistant Sales Manager to keep daily store functions running smoothly, manage inventory, and uphold safety and compliance standards, enhancing both employee and customer experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with management to follow Retail Operations Procedures, handle cash, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
• Troubleshoot and manage IT systems, including the racking system and equipment used in back‑of‑house operations.
• Train staff on coffee roaster, engraver, and tasting bar, and oversee omni‑channel order fulfillment.
• Identify and implement operational efficiencies using Total Quality Management principles.
• Conduct health, safety, and environmental audits, ensuring all team members are certified in Food Safety and CPR.
• Lead and coach a back‑of‑house team of two, and act as Manager on Duty for front‑of‑house when needed.
• Support leadership with special projects and ad‑hoc tasks.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of retail or customer‑service experience, preferably with operations or back‑of‑house exposure.
• Proven ability to lead and influence a small team.
• Detail‑oriented, analytical problem‑solver with a systematic work approach.
• Flexible availability for open/closing shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for meetings or training.
