Respiratory Therapy Supervisor – Day Shift

About the role

The Respiratory Therapy Supervisor ensures high standards of patient care across hospital and clinic settings, overseeing therapists and EKG technicians on the Kings Hwy campus. The role involves schedule coordination, communication with physicians, chart audits, and equipment maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and schedule Respiratory Therapists and EKG Technicians.
• Conduct chart audits and drive continuous quality improvement.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory care equipment, including blood gas analyzers.
• Ensure proper medication administration and security within the department.
• Serve as a resource for both respiratory and medical staff.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program or state‑grandfathered equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a respiratory technician or therapist in adult care.
• Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
• National Board certification as a CRT or RRT.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications; PALS preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Windows‑based applications and data‑entry systems.
• Ability to retrieve and document patient information electronically.
• Strong verbal and written communication for interaction with multidisciplinary teams.
