Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRT) - Per Diem/Nights

About the role

We are hiring a Respiratory Care Practitioner III (RRT) on a per‑diem/night shift basis at Kingman Regional Medical Center. This position offers professional development in a vibrant Arizona community with beautiful sunsets and outdoor recreation.

Key responsibilities

• Assess adult and pediatric patients, determine appropriate respiratory care, and deliver emergency interventions as needed.
• Interpret arterial blood gases and adjust ventilator settings to meet physician‑ordered therapeutic goals.
• Perform comprehensive pulmonary evaluations, including chronic lung disease management and discharge planning.
• Conduct and promote Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) programs.
• Participate in quality‑assurance activities and interdisciplinary team conferences.
• Document all assessments, therapies, and patient interactions accurately in medical records.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license in good standing in Arizona.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• Experience educating patients with chronic lung conditions.

Required skills

• Interpretation of arterial blood gases.
• Management of invasive and non‑invasive mechanical ventilation.
• Pulmonary function testing and program promotion.
• Airway management and emergency respiratory care.
• Diagnostic testing including EKG and blood‑gas analysis.
• Respiratory pharmacology knowledge.
