About the role

Join SALT, a fast‑growing home‑services company in Austin, TX, as a Residential Service Electrician. You will provide white‑glove electrical service to homeowners, combining technical expertise with strong customer communication.

Key responsibilities

• Customer engagement: listen to client needs, explain electrical issues, provide accurate estimates and advise on energy‑efficient solutions.
• Technical proficiency: perform residential electrical installations, repairs and maintenance, troubleshoot problems and ensure compliance with local codes and safety regulations.
• Quality workmanship: conduct thorough inspections and testing, maintain precision in all work, and leave job sites clean and organized.
• Problem‑solving: analyze complex issues, prioritize tasks, respond promptly to emergency calls and adapt to unexpected challenges.
• Professionalism: maintain a neat appearance, arrive on time, handle confidential information with discretion and treat customers with courtesy.
• Team collaboration: assist colleagues, share knowledge and contribute to a supportive team environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems and components.
• Valid Residential Wireman, Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
• Valid driver’s license with no major violations in the past three years.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Experience with sales and preparing electrical estimates is preferred.
