Resident Project Representative

About the role

At Davis, Bowen & Friedel, Inc., Resident Project Representatives (RPR) serve as on‑site construction inspectors, ensuring projects are built according to contract documents and plans. Working closely with the project manager, the RPR monitors daily construction activities, documents progress, and acts as a liaison among clients, contractors, and the design team.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily field reports, quantity books, logbooks and photographic documentation.
• Review and interpret plans, blueprints, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance with contract and legal requirements.
• Inspect and monitor construction activities, verify dimensions, alignment and elevations of structures and utilities.
• Verify that materials used comply with shop drawings and maintain as‑built drawings throughout the project.
• Prepare construction compliance reports for site work in Delaware, including stormwater and erosion control documentation.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED; water and wastewater operations experience a plus.
• Detail‑oriented with strong understanding of building and site construction.
• Client‑focused and able to respond to client needs promptly.
• Effective communicator who can clearly convey ideas and ask appropriate questions.
• Critical thinker capable of problem‑solving in a fast‑paced environment.
