Research Technician I – Validation and Formulation Development

About the role

Elemental Enzymes seeks a Research Technician passionate about agricultural sciences to support validation of biological molecules and formulations that improve plant health and nutrition. The role focuses on controlled‑environment plant trials and assays to evaluate efficacy, compatibility, and mode of action for enzymes, peptides, and other bio‑actives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute plant trials in controlled environments to validate efficacy and support claims for biological molecules.
• Conduct routine laboratory experiments using microbiological, molecular, biochemical, and plant‑based analytical methods.
• Maintain detailed records using digital notebooks and trial‑management systems.
• Support trial evaluation with statistical analysis tools and data‑presentation templates.
• Communicate research progress to internal stakeholders.
• Assist in developing and amending study protocols and data‑collection tools.
• Help maintain facilities and materials in line with the C.A.R.E. mission.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology, biochemistry, plant sciences, or a related field.
• Proven ability to execute laboratory experiments and manage multiple projects.
• Proficiency with basic computer programs (e.g., Excel) and willingness to learn new systems.
• Desired experience handling and evaluating agricultural chemical and biological products.
• Desired experience working with plants in a laboratory setting.
• Energetic, self‑motivated, and able to work effectively in a team.
