Research & Education Sales Lead – Beneficial Deployments

About the role

Anthropic is looking for a Research & Education Sales Lead to drive adoption of its AI system Claude within research institutes, universities and K‑12 education organizations worldwide. The role combines enterprise sales ownership with deep domain expertise in academic and nonprofit research environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the research and education go‑to‑market strategy, building a target list of research‑intensive universities and institutes.
• Support K‑12 educators and districts, especially in low‑ and middle‑income countries, to adopt Anthropic’s technology.
• Own the global Enterprise book for research and education, managing pipeline, revenue targets and internal field representation.
• Lead and close complex institutional deals, navigating provost, research office, procurement and grant‑budget processes.
• Act as a “player‑coach”, directly selling while guiding and expanding a team of account executives in key regions.

Required profile

• Proven experience selling AI or enterprise software to research institutions, universities or education systems.
• Deep understanding of how research is funded and how academic purchasing decisions are made.
• Ability to communicate credibly with scientists, educators and senior university administrators.
• Comfortable operating as both a salesperson and a domain translator.
