About the role
This grant‑funded, non‑tenure track position supports the Aquatic Germplasm & Genetic Resources Center in Baton Rouge. The role focuses on ensuring research projects comply with sponsor requirements while providing technical and administrative support.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor grant compliance and develop spend plans.
- Track budgets, expenditures, and grant balances.
- Provide animal husbandry and technical research assistance.
- Assist investigators with project alignment to approved budgets and objectives.
- Occasionally work after hours, including weekends, to meet project deadlines.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering or a related agricultural/basic science field.
- Significant relevant work experience if degree is in another field.
- Experience in public‑sector or university environments is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal, administrative, and organizational abilities.
- Understanding of accounting and sponsored research administration.
