Research Associate – Impact Center

About the role

The Clinton School of Public Service is launching a new Impact Center and seeks a Research Associate to lead mixed‑methods applied research and program evaluation projects. This one‑year, non‑tenure faculty position supports public‑health‑focused initiatives while collaborating with community partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement applied research and evaluation projects for partner organizations, primarily in public health, education, and economic development.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative data collection, perform statistical analyses, and produce client‑facing reports, executive summaries, and presentations.
• Assist with project management tasks, including developing scopes of work, tracking milestones, and reporting progress.
• Mentor and supervise graduate‑student teams, ensuring rigorous yet flexible evaluation processes.
• Engage community partners throughout the evaluation lifecycle and present findings to diverse stakeholder audiences and academic conferences.

Required profile

• At least two years of applied research and evaluation experience, covering design, data collection, and analysis.
• Master’s degree in public service, public health, public administration, social/behavioral sciences, epidemiology, or a related field (Ph.D. or ABD candidates also encouraged).
• Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with community partners and stakeholders.
