Research Assistant – Respiratory Physiology Study

About the role

The Department of Kinesiology and Sport Management at Texas A&M University seeks a Research Assistant to support a respiratory physiology study in the Performance and Fatigue Laboratory. The role involves recruiting healthy participants, conducting experiments, and contributing to manuscript preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit healthy participants and schedule experimental sessions.
• Execute respiratory physiology experiments using a spirometer and other lab techniques.
• Collate, manage, and ensure accuracy of experimental data.
• Write the methodology section for manuscripts and assist with manuscript preparation and submission.
• Collaborate on data analysis, interpretation, and writing of the final manuscript.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• CITI training certification.
• Preferred: 2 years of laboratory experience and an MS degree in physiology or a related field.
