Registered Nurse Supervisor – Georgia Behavioral Health, Savannah

About the role

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse Supervisor to lead nursing care on a unit in Savannah. You will oversee the delivery of high‑quality care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled clients while supporting staff development and ensuring compliance with clinical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for the assigned unit or shift.
• Supervise and schedule direct‑care staff, providing guidance and performance feedback.
• Administer prescribed medications and start intravenous fluids, documenting accurately.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team members to develop and adjust client care plans.
• Maintain detailed client records, monitor changes in condition, and report symptoms.
• Prepare treatment rooms, manage supplies, and ensure sterile instrument availability.
• Provide education to clients, families, and staff on health maintenance and disease prevention.

Required profile

• Active RN license in Georgia (or Nurse Licensure Compact).
• Minimum three years of experience supervising direct‑care staff.
• BSN preferred but not required if extensive experience is demonstrated.
