Registered Nurse – Solid Organ Transplant & Nephrology

About the role

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a Registered Nurse to join its Solid Organ Transplant and Nephrology inpatient unit. The RN will deliver comprehensive nursing care to transplant recipients and patients with kidney disease, supporting the multidisciplinary team in a high‑acuity environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, and document the clinical status of solid organ transplant and nephrology patients.
• Administer medications, including immunosuppressants and dialysis‑related therapies, in accordance with protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, pharmacists, and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families about post‑transplant care, dialysis, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based research activities.

Required profile

• Current RN licensure in the state of Arkansas.
• Experience in solid organ transplant or nephrology nursing preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
