Registered Nurse (RN) – Family Practice

About the role

Evergreen Family Medicine is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join its fast‑paced family practice clinic in Roseburg. The RN will play a key part in delivering high‑quality outpatient care, including urgent care, women’s health and occupational health services.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with patients, providers and team members, both orally and in writing.
• Administer first‑aid, life‑support care, medications (oral, injection, IV) and perform procedures such as wound care, catheter placement, splinting and minor surgical assistance under provider delegation.
• Obtain vital signs, medical history and medication lists, assess patient needs, triage and prioritize care.
• Perform in‑house lab tests (strep, mono, urine HCG, UA dips) and operate equipment such as EKG, AED, ZOLL, bladder scanner and ultrasound.
• Document accurately in the EHR, maintain a clean and safe environment, and ensure proper equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program with a valid RN license and current BLS certification.
• 2–5 years of experience in a medical setting, preferably family or outpatient practice.
• Strong ability to assess patient conditions, prioritize nursing actions and educate patients on health information.
• Commitment to a drug‑free workplace and ability to work evening and weekend shifts.

Required skills

• IV therapy and phlebotomy.
• Wound care, catheter insertion and removal.
• Operation of EKG, AED, ZOLL, bladder scanner and ultrasound equipment.
• Medication administration and documentation in an EHR system.
